The Middlesex Fells
Despite being located in an urban area, Tufts University is located a mere 2 miles from the MiddleSex Fells Reservation. The wilderness area has a multitude of paths and lakes, and is one of the most scenic areas in eastern Massachusetts. The Tufts distance team takes advantage of this area frequently, using the soft paths year round as an alternative to the road, with routes ranging from 5 to 14 miles.
