Title:   Introduction to Enameling

Course Description:

Enameling is a process of permanently fusing powdered glass onto metal by kiln firing or torch firing. Enameling provides the possibility of introducing matte or brilliant color and painting techniques into metal works. This course offers an opportunity for students to discover the possibilities of adding color to their work, or to simply expand their metals and jewelry skills into new realms. In this introductory workshop, you will learn contemporary ways to apply and utilize enamel for small sculptural and jewelry applications. Basic knowledge of metal working is helpful, but not required.
-This course is not open to Community or Alumni audit enrollment.
-This course has a materials fee of $50.
-This course is a 30-hour workshop.
-Tuition: $800
-Class includes a scheduled one-hour break.
