Welcome to our lab!

We research a variety of topics in human learning and memory, including:

  • Spatial Cognition (navigation, spatial perception, spatial memory)
  • Spatial Language (written directions, layout descriptions)
  • Spatial Visualizations (maps, navigation guidance systems, object visualization in education)
  • Discourse Comprehension (temporal and spatial event indexing, perspectives, embodiment)
  • Multimedia Learning (procedural sequence learning, science learning)
  • Nutrition and Cognition (hydration, caffeine, food intake, exercise)
  • Low Current Brain Stimulation (tDCS) influences on perception and cognition

Emphasis is placed on the application of these research topics to real world problems in education, training, human performance, human factors, and engineering. To learn more, use the links to the left!
