Our Community

The Water Diplomacy | IGERT program at Tufts is a growing and welcoming community of students and faculty from a variety of disciplines across the university including the School of Engineering, the School of Arts and Sciences, Friedman School of Nutrition and Food Policy, and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Students in this unique Ph.D. program have a wide range of backgrounds, home departments, and research interests. The first cohort began their studies in Fall 2011.

Bringing together faculty from the School of Engineering and the School of Arts and Sciences as well as the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University is poised to blend science, engineering, policy, and diplomacy to create a truly integrative program in water diplomacy. Our growing list of faculty expertise spans the natural and social science domains to educate the next generation of water professionals. Learn more about our Executive Faculty Committee.

External Advisory Board
The External Advisory Board helps guide our research and educational directions through interactive participation and feedback. The Board is composed of leading scientists, policy makers, and practitioners in related disciplines, all from institutions not directly involved with this initiative, and were chosen to reflect the breadth and depth of the proposed Water Diplomacy program.
