Our Community
The Water Diplomacy | IGERT program at Tufts is a growing and
welcoming community of students and faculty from a variety of
disciplines across the university including the School of
Engineering, the School of Arts and Sciences, Friedman School of
Nutrition and Food Policy, and the Fletcher School of Law and
Diplomacy.
Students
Students in this unique Ph.D. program have a wide range of
backgrounds, home departments, and research interests. The first
cohort began their studies in Fall 2011.
Faculty
Bringing together faculty from the School of Engineering and the
School of Arts and Sciences as well as the Fletcher School of Law
and Diplomacy, Tufts University is poised to blend science,
engineering, policy, and diplomacy to create a truly integrative
program in water diplomacy. Our growing list of faculty expertise
spans the natural and social science domains to educate the next

External Advisory Board
The External Advisory Board helps guide our research and educational
directions through interactive participation and feedback. The Board is composed of
leading scientists, policy makers, and practitioners in related disciplines, all from institutions not directly involved
with this initiative, and were chosen to reflect the breadth and
depth of the proposed Water Diplomacy program.
