Faculty Governance in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences
Regular meetings of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences are held during the academic year to conduct such business as the faculty and administrative officers deem necessary or desirable. The following full-time members of the faculty from the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering are voting members: professors, associate professors, assistant professors, instructors, lecturers, and professors of the practice. Faculty members with modified titles (e.g., "visiting," "adjunct," "emeritus" or "emerita", or "research") are ineligible to vote. The president appoints those holding certain full-time administrative positions to be voting members of the faculty. In the absence of the president, the provost or the dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences shall preside, in that order.
The following are standing committees of the Faculty of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in order of appearance in the Bylaws of the Faculty of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
