AMHERST -- The Tufts University volleyball team completed a successful weekend in NESCAC wtih a 3-0 victory over Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon at Amherst College. Coupled with a 3-0 victory over Trinity on Friday night, the Jumbos are now 3-3 in the league and 11-11 overall. Wesleyan fell to 13-5 and 4-3 in NESCAC.

The Jumbos won by game scores of 32-30, 30-22 and 30-22. It was their third straight win overall after three straight losses, so the team could be hitting its stride at just the right time.

Tufts hit at a good percentage overall with senior captain Katie Wysham (Spokane, WA) finishing with 10 kills and three errors in 25 attempts and junior Kate Denniston (Tarzana, CA) making just one error with eight kills in 17 attempts. Sophomore Dena Feiger (Long Grove, IL) had 37 assists in three games. On defense, junior Maya Ripecky (Chicago, IL) led Tufts with 20 digs and classmate Stacy Filocco (Olney, MD) did not have any errors in 22 passing attempts, to go with nine digs.

For the Cardinals, Lisa Drennan had 20 kills on offense and 15 digs defensively. Senior co-captain Becca Rodger also played a good two-way match with six kills and 16 digs. Sophomore setter Ellika Healy had 33 assists in three games and junior Anna Williams served up three aces.
