NORTH EASTON -- The Tufts University volleyball team continued its fine play of late with a 3-0 victory at Stonehill College on Tuesday night. With the win over the Division II Skyhawks, Tufts is now 7-6 and has won six of its last seven matches.

The first game was a back and forth affair that the Jumbos took, 31-29. Stonehill had an early advantage in game two, but Tufts regrouped after a timeout and forged ahead, 30-27. Game three saw a Jumbo lead dwindled down midway through, but they held on for a 30-22 win.

Leading the Jumbos in kills for the match was sophomore Brogie Helgeson (Santa Cruz, CA) with 12. Freshman Dawson Joyce-Mendive (Minden, NV) also reached double-digits with 10. Sophomore Dena Feiger (Long Grove, IL) led the team with 28 assists and contributed four kills, two service aces and 12 digs. Junior Natalie Goldstein (Piedmont, CA) finished with 21 digs and played 24 receiving chances perfectly.

Tufts returns to action on Friday night at home in the first round of the Tufts Invitational at Cousens Gymnasium. They will take on Wellesley College. The Skyhawks, who have gone 2-2 over their last four matches, dropped to 3-11.
