CAMBRIDGE -- In the last meet before the championship season, the Tufts

performances at the 2007 MIT Spring Invitational on Saturday. It was a
non-scoring event.
Senior tri-captain Sarah Crispin (Auburn, ME) won the 800 meter
run by nearly two and a half seconds with her time of 2 minutes, 18.73
seconds. Sophomore Paula Dormon (Brockton, MA) won the shot put
by the slightest of margins, with her best toss of 39 feet, 2 1/2
inches landing a quarter-inch further than the 39' 2 1/4" heave by MIT's
Aline Thomas.
Tufts also won the competitive 4x100 meter relay. Jumbos Logan Crane
(Portland, ME), Kaleigh Fitzpatrick (Lynnfield, MA),
Andrea Ferri (Dracut, MA) and Jessica Mactas (New Canaan, CT)
put down a time of 49.27 seconds to win, followed by Division II Bryant
College's 49.75 time.
Ferri and Fitzpatrick were also part of the runner-up Jumbo 4x4 that ran
a 3:59.9 hand-held time, fractions of a second off the lead. They were
joined by Joyce Uang (Medford, MA) in the lead-off spot and
sophomore Jackie Ferry (Studio City, CA) in the third leg.
Uang was second individually in the high jump by clearing 5' 1/4", while
Fitzpatrick tied for third in the 200 meters in 25.92 seconds. Crane was
right on her heels in 26.08 seconds for fifth place. Junior Katy
