Meet Results

BOSTON -- With the the Tufts women's track & field team split between Boston University and Bowdoin this weekend, the group that went to Bowdoin logged some fine performances though it didn't have the fire power to score well.

Freshman Logan Crane (Portland, ME) was again a double winner, taking the 55 meters (7.59 seconds) and long jump (16 feet, 1 1/2 inches) for the second straight meet. Senior Jess Mactas (New Canaan, CT) added her collegiate bests in the 55 meters and long jump with marks of 7.74 and 15' 4 3/4".

Senior tri-captain Maggie Clary (Grantham, NH) ran a season-best in the 800m at 2:26.89. Both junior Ana Hoyos (Saratoga Springs, NY) and sophomore Betsy Aronson (Minneapolis, MN) ran great races in the 3000 meters, with college PRs of 11:14.07 and 11:38.62, respectively.

Junior Joyce Uang (Medford, MA) won the high jump with a leap of 4' 11 3/4", impressive given that she just returned from India. Junior Jenna Weir (New York, NY) added a third in the long jump (16' 1/4") and a second in the triple jump (33' 3"). Sophomore Paula Dormon (Brockton, MA) threw the shot put 38' 7 3/4" for second place.

Freshman Kerry Virgien (Los Angeles, CA) qualified for the pentathlon by doing all five events this weekend (the 800m at BU Friday night, and the high jump, long jump, shot put, and 55 hurdles on Saturday at Bowdoin).
