Meet Results
LOWELL -- The Tufts University Women's Outdoor Track & Field team competed at the George Davis Invitational hosted by the University of Massachusetts Lowell on Saturday. In a meet of Division II and III programs from New England, including many NESCACs, there was no team scoring.
The top effort for the Jumbos came from freshman Katy O'Brien (North Easton, MA), who won the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 18.31 seconds. She won by over four seconds against the second-place time of 2:22.54 by Wellesley's Elizabeth Eiseman.
Junior Rachel Bloom (Sharon, MA) continued her positive start to the 2005 season in the sprints. She placed second in the 400 Meter Dash after winning both the 100 and 200 at home last weekend. She ran 59.09 seconds at UMass Lowell. The Tufts 4x100 relay squad was also a runner-up, with freshman
Kate Mactas (Brookfield, CT), Bloom, sophomore Jillian Warner (Long Valley, NJ) and freshman
Kaleigh Fitzpatrick (Lynnfield, MA) record a time of 50.39 seconds.
Sophomore Sarah Crispin (Auburn, ME) ran 4:49.45 in the 1,500 Meters for third place.
