Meet Results

MEDFORD -- Tufts records in the 400 Meter Run and in the 4x400 Meter relay fell on Saturday when a group of Jumbos competed at the Saint Valentine's Invitational hosted by Boston University.

Senior captain Jessica Trombly (Nashua, NH) broke her own school record in the 400m (56.47 seconds) by running 56.26. That was fifth overall at BU. The 4x4 team of senior captain Emily Bersin (Orleans, MA), sophomore Rachel Bloom (Sharon, MA), junior Sika Henry (Upper Montclair, NJ), and Trombly smashed the school record of 3 minutes, 55.61 seconds, running a 3:53.94 (also 5th overall at BU). Its the top time in the nation right now.

Also at BU, the Distance Medley Relay team of freshman Samantha Moland (Londonderry, NH), sophomore Megan Sears (Washington Depot, CT), freshman Sarah Crispin (Auburn, ME) and senior captain Lauren Caputo (Belmont, MA) ran 12:21.23 to place fourth overall. That time missed the NCAA provisional qualifying mark s by 1.23 seconds. It is the third fastest time in Tufts history and puts the foursome second in New England.
