NEW LONDON, N.H. -- Tufts University's Colleen Hart (Needham, MA) scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Jumbos ran away from the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer College, 68-40, in non-conference women's basketball action Saturday afternoon. The win moves the Jumbos to 6-0 on the season while the Chargers fall to 3-2.

Tufts opened the game on a 16-5 run and never looked back, leading by as many as 21 points in the first half, and cruising to a 19-point halftime lead (34-15).

In the second half, Colby-Sawyer was unable to cut into the Jumbos lead, getting no closer than 17 as Tufts pulled away, leading by as many as 35, 64-29, with just over five minutes left. Tufts went on to the easy 68-40 win.

For Tufts, Khalilah Ummah (Litchfield, ME) added 14 points and nine rebounds while Kim Moynihan (West Hartford, CT) and Lindsay Weiner (Rockville, MD) each added seven.

For Colby-Sawyer, Terri Duffy (Marshfield, MA), Ellen Naughton (Reading, MA) and Noelle Surette (Buxton, ME) all scored in double figures, scoring 12, 11 and 10 respectively in the loss. Duffy added seven rebounds and two blocks.

Tufts will look to keep its season-opening winning streak going when they next host Salem State on Tuesday at 7 pm. Colby-Sawyer looks to get back on track also on Tuesday when they host Castleton State at 5:30 pm.
