JUMBOS DEFEAT CONNECTICUT COLLEGE, 68-60
NEW LONDON, CT. -- Led by freshman center Emily Goodman's
(Briarcliff, NY) game-high 24 points, the Tufts University women's
basketball team won its fourth straight with a 68-60 win over Connecticut College this
afternoon at the Charles B. Luce Field House.
Senior forward Molly Baker (Northfield, MA) added 21 points for Tufts;
eight of which came in the final four minutes of the game to help the Jumbos improve to
13-5. The Jumbos also connected on 24-of-29 at the foul line to help preserve the victory.
Connecticut College took its last lead of the game with eight minutes remaining when
senior guard Hope Maynard sank a three-point field goal to put the Camels ahead 49-48.
Maynard was the Camels high-scorer with 19 points.
Connecticut College (3-16) also received nine points a piece from senior guard Jen Brennan
and sophomore forward Kacie Kennedy. Brennan also contributed with six assists.
The Camels will host Coast Guard on Tuesday (Feb. 15) at 7:00 p.m. while Tufts will
entertain Williams on Friday (Feb. 18) at 7:00 p.m..
