DONADT, ENGELKING, & FALLER TO COMPETE AT NCAA OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

Senior Trevor Donadt is making his first trip to the NCAA meet

MEDFORD -- Seniors Trevor Donadt (North Attleborough, MA), Jared Engelking (Westborough, MA), and Jesse Faller (Burlington, MA) will cap their careers with the Tufts University men's track & field team this week by competing at the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio Thursday through Saturday.

Faller will do a long-distance double by competing in the 5,000 meters and in the 10,000 meters. The 10K goes off on Thursday night at 7:40 pm, while the 5K is the final individual event on Saturday at 4:20 pm. Engelking's participation in the decathlon begins on Thursday at noon with the 100 meters, long jump, shot put, high jump, and 400 meters, and continues on Friday at 11:00 am with the 110-meter hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin, and 1,500 meters. Donadt will run in the trials of the 400-meter hurdles on Thursday at 5:20 pm, with the final set for Saturday at 3:25 pm.

Faller, a six-time All-American in cross country and track, is the #1 seed in the NCAA 5,000 meters. He ran a 14:17.10 on April 16 at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational. In the 10K, Faller is ranked sixth out of 15 entries with a 30:13.97 time at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational back on April 2. Faller will be competing for his first outdoor All-American honor. He was 11th in the 5K last season and ninth in 2008.

Engelking's best score of 6,587 points in the decathlon this season was performed at the All-New England Championships and is seeded 10th for the NCAA event. He was third in the NCAA decathlon last May to earn All-American honors, scoring 6,834 points.

Donadt is making his first-ever NCAA appearance. He is #13 in the 400 hurdles, with his time of 53.07 seconds put down at the IC4A Championships hosted by Princeton on May 14.
