Bobcat starter Griffin Finan (Bethesda, MD) got out of a bases loaded jam in the first, but Tufts started the second with four straight singles to build a 3-0 lead. The Jumbos added a pair of unearned runs in the fourth, and senior 3B Adam Kacamburas (North Reading, MA) hit a sacrifice fly to center to score junior catcher Bob Kenny (Milford, MA) in the fifth to increase the lead to 6-0.
Bates' lone run came on a throwing error in the bottom of the fifth inning.
