MEDFORD -- Sophomore RF Dan Callahan (Medfield, MA) stroked an RBI double to highlight a big first inning in the second game of a double-header as the Tufts Jumbos swept the Wentworth Leopards with a 7-0 win in Greater Boston college baseball action on Sunday afternoon. Tufts won the first game, 2-1.

Callahan's double sparked a four-run first inning that was more than the Jumbos would need behind strong pitching from senior starter Mike Saucier (Dracut, MA) and freshman Brian Shapiro (Swampscott, MA) in relief. Freshman CF Evan Zupancic (Lake Oswego, OR) hit a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the fourth, and the Jumbos scored single runs in the fifth and sixth without getting a hit.

Tufts improved to 12-3 overall, Wentworth dropped to 3-14. Leopards freshman RF Chris Olivo (Floral Park, NY) had three hits in the two games, including a run-scoring single in the top of the first that gave Wentworth a brief 1-0 lead in the second game.
