NEIBA COLLEGE BASEBALL ALL-STAR GAME AT FENWAY PARK ON SUNDAY

MEDFORD -- The New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) will hold its 32nd annual College Baseball All-Star Game at Fenway Park on Sunday, May 28 after the Red Sox-Devil Rays game. A team made up of Division I All-New England First and Second Team players will face a squad consisting of All-New England Division II players and New England Division III Senior All-Stars. The game is expected to start at approximately 6:30 pm. Tickets will be five dollars at Gate D and fans with tickets to that day's Red Sox game may stay for the second game.

Among the players selected to play in the game are Ivy League Player of the Year Marc Sawyer from Yale, Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Year Steve Holmes from Rhode Island, Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Year Garrett Olson from Franklin Pierce, Northeast 10 Pitcher of the Year Ryan Williams from Saint Anselm College, New York College Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year Ed Sempey from New Haven, NESCAC Pitcher of the Year Joe Vladeck from Amherst, MASCAC Co-Players of the Year Jeff LaHair from Worcester State and Derek Lyons from Salem State, Little East Conference Player of the Year Jeremy Schilling from Keene State and Great Northeast Athletic Conference Pitcher and Tri-Player of the Year Jason Connelly from Western New England.

The University Division Team won last year's game, 8-2, and leads the series 20-9-1 overall.
