Meet Results
MEDFORD -- Junior James Bradley (Atkinson, NH) hit the NCAA
provisional mark of 6'7" in the high jump to highlight the Tufts men's
indoor track & field team's performance in the first home meet of the
season at the Gantcher Center this weekend. Tufts won the event
convincingly with a score of 203 points, followed by UMass Lowell in
second with a 140 score. Competition at the Tufts track started on
Friday night and continued through Saturday, with 12 teams
participating.
Bradley led a 1-2-3 Jumbo performance in the high jump. Freshman
Frank DeSalvo (Naples, FL) and senior quad-captain Jeremy Arak
(Ipswich, MA) both cleared 6'3" (1.91m) to follow Bradley. The
Jumbos also got a first-place effort in the jumps from senior
quad-captain Dan Marcy (Middletown, NY) with a best leap of 44'
8" (13.61m) in the triple.
The running events featured a 1-2 Tufts finish in the 3,000 meters.
Sophomore Jesse Faller (Burlington, MA) won in 8:36.13, followed
by senior quad-captain Dave Sorensen's (Dover, MA) 8:38.51 time.
Two Tufts relays were also best in the field, with the 4x4 crossing
in 3:29.96 and the 4x8 running 8:25.46 for victory.
