Meet Results

HANOVER, N.H. -- Junior Jeremy Arak (Ipswich, MA) of the Tufts University men's indoor track & field team finished first out of six competitors in the high jump at the 2007 Dartmouth Relays contested on Sunday. His winning effort of six feet, six inches scored 10 points for the Jumbos.

Tufts scored 20 points overall to finish seventh out of 12 teams entered in the open men's college meet at Dartmouth. The University of Illinois won the meet with 154 points. The competition resumed the 2006-07 season for the Jumbos.

Also scoring for the Jumbos was senior Josh Kennedy (Guilford, CT) with a sixth-place finish in the 3,000 meter run. His time of eight minutes, 48.74 seconds scored four points for Tufts. Junior Joe Brown finished seventh overall in the 35-pound weight throw, but his 51' 6 1/2" best heave was awarded six third-place points due to unaffiliated competitors finishing above him in the event. Brown also competed in the shot put and was 17th with a best toss of 39' 6" flat.

Tufts picks up the indoor season in full swing when they host the first indoor invitational at the Gantcher Center next Saturday afternoon.
