In the same event, junior Matt Lacey (Amherst, MA) improved his provisional time to 14:43.43, currently eighth in nation. He was 20th in the race.

The DMR - Aaron Kaye (Los Altos, CA) running the 1200, Trevor Williams (Clifton Park, NY) for the 400 leg, Pat Mahoney (Cranford, NJ) for the 800 and Matt Fortin (Raymond, ME) in the anchor 1600 - missed the auto standard by 0.33 seconds with their 10:01.33 time for fifth place at the meet.
