Meet Results
MEDFORD -- The Tufts Men's Indoor Track & Field team dominated its first home invitational
of the new year on Saturday, compiling 168 points to finish first out of 14 teams. Senior
tri-captain Greg Devine (Springfield, MA) was a double winner in the 200 Meters (22.8 seconds)
and the 55 Hurdles (7.75).
Jumbos won seven events overall. Head Coach Connie Putnam's men are very strong through the
middle distances. Senior Bryant Coen (Oakton, VA) crossed the finish line first in the 600
Meters with a time of 1:23.17, while classmate Adam Sharp (Alexandria, NH) won the 800 Meters
with a 2:01.64 finish.
Junior Jon Rosen (Amherst, MA) took the 5,000 Meter Run in 5:31.22, while Tufts was also
victorious in the 4x200 (1:36.12) and 4x400 (3:29.4) relays.
Posting runner-up finishes for Tufts were sophomores Raynald Carre (Middletown, CT) in the
400 Meters (51.43), Michael Don (Clayton, MO) in the 1,500 (4:08.58) and
Nate Thompson (South
Portland, ME) in the Long Jump (6.03 Meters), along with Seth Lapierre in the Pole Vault (4.12
Meters).
