Sophomore Mike Droesch's success on face-offs was a big factor in the Tufts victory

WATERVILLE, Me. -- Tufts University scored four goals in the final 1:03 of the second quarter to go ahead 8-3 at halftime on the way to a 13-8 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference men's lacrosse play Saturday at Bill Alfond Field.

Colby (5-3, 2-3 NESCAC) had cut the Jumbos' lead to 4-3 when Todd Boertzel (Mountain Lakes, NJ) scored with 1:17 remaining. Tufts (6-3, 3-2) had four players score the four goals with 1:03, 38.4, 20.8, and 2.8 left to intermission.
