BEVERLY - On a bitter cold night in Beverly, #15 Tufts used a 4-0 third period to pull away from a scrappy Endicott team and post a 9-4 victory on Friday. Tufts, led by three goals from junior Devin Clarke (Ridgewood, NJ), improved to 2-0. The Gulls lost their fourth straight to open the season.

Six penalties in the game hurt the Jumbos, especially early. Endicott scored two man-up goals in the first half to keep the game close. It was 4-3 Tufts at halftime.

Junior goalkeeper Luke Chicco (Merrick, NY) made 14 saves for the victory. Endicott's Matt Bagshaw played well with 12 stops. Junior All-American Bryan Griffin (West Islip, NY) had a goal and three assists for the Jumbos, giving him five goals and nine assists for 14 points in two games thus far.

After the game, Tufts traveled to Baltimore where they will spend the next five days leading up to Wednesday's neutral contest against #11 Whittier.
