PORT RICHIE, Fla. -- The Tufts University Men's Lacrosse team finished its spring break trip to Florida by defeating Roger Williams University by a score of 20-9 on Thursday at the Sun Coast Tournament in Port Richie, Florida, to give them a 3-0 record.

The Jumbos jumped ahead in the first period, out-scoring their opponents 5-1 with two goals from junior Dan Kollar (Middle Island, NY). They continued their run in the second period scoring eight goals, all but one of which were assisted, ending the first half ahead by a score of 13-4. Roger Williams closed the game to 15-8 after three quarters, but the Jumbos finished strong with a 5-1 edge in the fourth.

Kollar, sophomore Jon Zissi (Winchester, MA), sophomore Jack Palmer (Vestal, NY) had three goals apiece to pace the Jumbos. Sophomore Kirk Lutwyler (Ridgewood, NJ) stopped nine shots to post his third win, matching his season total from a year ago.

Tufts travels home and then opens its home and northern schedule versus Babson on Tuesday (Mar. 28) at 3:30 pm.
