WATERVILLE, Maine -- Sophomore Jack Palmer (Vestal, NY / Vestal) found the back of the net in overtime to give
the Tufts University men's lacrosse team a sudden-death, 7-6 victory over Colby College Saturday afternoon on
Seaverns Field. The win was the first in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play this spring for the upstart Jumbos.

Colby (3-5) drew first blood when Ryan Kane scored a goal at the 9:48 mark of the first, assisted by Jeff Boyer. Tufts (6-4) battled back to take a 4-2 advantage at the half, with junior Dan Kollar (Middle Island, NY) adding two goals to his team-high total. The Jumbos maintained the two-goal lead after three quarters at 6-4. Colby scored the only two goals of the fourth, including the game-tying goal from Ian Nurse with 2:14 remaining.

Tufts won the draw to start the overtime, but turned the ball over to the Mules. Colby was unable to capitalize on their
opportunity and Palmer converted the game-winner just 2:41 into the extra period.
