USILA NATIONAL HONORS CAP 2007 MEN'S LACROSSE SEASON
MEDFORD -- The outstanding 2007 Tufts University men's lacrosse
season culminated this week with two players earning United States
Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) national honors.
Senior defender Wiley Dornseif (Littleton, CO/Phillips Exeter)
and senior attacker Mark Warner (Wading River, NY/Shoreham Wading
River) both earned USILA All-American and Scholar All-American
honors. Dornseif was a Second Team All-American for his outstanding
play on defense, while Warner was on the Honorable Mention
All-America team after leading the Tufts offense. Both Jumbos were
two of the 40 members from Divisions I, II and III selected as
Scholar All-Americans.
At the USILA North-South Senior All-Star Game on May 25, Jumbo
senior midfielder Chris Connelly (Wilton, CT/Wilton) had a
goal and an assist in the game, and Dornseif represented Tufts
fabulously with a handful of takeaways.
Head coach Mike Daly's Tufts team earned its first NCAA Tournament
berth this season and won its first-round game against Endicott,
9-8. The Jumbos finished 13-4 overall to tie the school record for
wins in a season.#
