THREE JUMBOS TO PARTICIPATE IN LACROSSE NORTH/SOUTH GAME

MEDFORD – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) 63rd annual North/South Classic at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y., on Saturday, June 12 will include three members of the Tufts University team.

Sponsored by STX and GEICO, the North/South Classic features the top senior players in the nation. The college lacrosse world comes together that day with a Division III game at 12:00 pm followed by the Division I game at 3:00 pm.

Tufts seniors Jesse Miller (Falmouth, MA/Falmouth) and Dave Richman-Raphael (Baltimore, MD/Friends of Baltimore) will play defense for the North team, which will be coached by Tufts University's Mike Daly.

Miller and Richman-Raphael were leading members of the Tufts University defense throughout their careers. Miller has been a regular in the team's rotation since his freshman season, and had his best season as a senior in 2004. He was selected All-New England honorable mention this spring. Richman-Raphael, an All-NESCAC second team pick in 2004, has been a full-time starter since 2001. Together they've been a part of Tufts University's rise in lacrosse, from 7 wins in their first year to 13 this past season.

Daly has led the Tufts program to its current up-and-coming status on the lacrosse national scene. The team earned a #10 national ranking in the USILA poll this season and has won 54 in his six seasons. He was the NESCAC Coach of the Year this spring and the New England Coach of the Year last season.

Daly's North team includes First Team All-Americans Mike Seraceni from Middlebury, Eric Krieger from Middlebury, Andrew Hyatt from Cortland and Andrew Roth from Cortland.

"It's a pretty big deal for all of us," Daly said. "We're looking forward to it."
