The top five Tufts runners all placed in the top 10 as the Jumbos edged MIT at an open invitational on the Farmcourse at the Tufts Vet School on Saturday afternoon. Swarthmore College was a distant third. Jumbo senior Matt Lyons (Wakefield, MA) won the race by more than seven seconds with a 26:14.2 finish. Senior Steve Kaye (Upper Saddle River, NJ) is in fine form lately, placing fourth overall with a 26:46 time. Junior Dave Patterson (Shutesbury, MA), sophomore Jason Mann (Rosemont, PA) and senior Pete Rodrigues (Weatogue, CT) rounded out the scoring for Tufts.
