The Tufts Jumbos were runner-up to Williams College at the 1999 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Cross Country Championship Race hosted by Hamilton on Saturday. Senior Matt Lyons (Wakefield, MA) led the way by finishing second overall with a 25:46 time. Senior Steve Kaye (Upper Saddle River, NJ) was also in the top 10 overall (26:36), helping the Jumbos post a comfortable margin over third-place Bates (59-83).

Tufts hosts the 1999 ECAC Division III Championship Race on the Farmcourse in Grafton next Saturday (Nov. 6).
