The Tufts Jumbos placed three runners in the top 10 en route to an impressive second-place
show at the 1999 Keene State College Invitational in New Hampshire. Senior Matt
Lyons (Wakefield, MA) led the way with a 25:57 finish that was fourth overall.
Senior Steve Kaye (Upper Saddle River, NJ) 43 seconds behind Kaye for
seventh overall with a 26:40 finish. Classmate Peter Rodrigues (Weatogue, CT) was
10th in 26:52 to help the Jumbos finish as a comfortable runner-up to host Keene. The
Championship Season starts this coming weekend with the All-New England Championship Race
at Franklin Park in Boston on Friday afternoon (Oct. 15).
