RESOURCES FOR FACULTY

Critical Thinking Program - a faculty development initiative designed to enhance students’ capacity for careful and creative thought. It aims to infuse the explicit teaching of reasoning skills into courses across the Arts, Sciences, and Engineering curriculum.

SPIRIT Fund - SPIRIT (Society for the Propagation of Internal Rejoicing In Tufts, or Students and Professors Integrating Recreation, Intellect and Teaching) is a program designed to promote informal and/or intellectual contacts between instructors and their students or advisees outside the classroom.

University-wide Committee on Teaching & Faculty Development - organizes ongoing university-wide teaching conferences in an effort to bring faculty together around common teaching problems.

Writing Across the Curriculum - program sponsors undergraduate courses in almost every academic department at Tufts. Their goal is to help students attain a deeper understanding of course material and to promote intellectual interactions with instructors and fellow students

Writing Fellows Program - designed to enrich the process of writing by making space and time for drafts, conversations and revisions.

Writing Teaching Services - The Writing Center at Tufts University aims to promote and support the teaching and practice of writing across the university.
