UEP student Dallase Scott has designed a course curriculum and has been teaching the course this fall through Tufts Experimental College for her UEP internship requirement. Her course was designed for Tufts undergraduate students who wanted a different way to examine the “truths” behind the environmental concerns in the news. Through the lens of psychology, social marketing and critical thinking, the course examines the current environmental issues impacting our world. A major focus of the course is for students to learn how to examine their and their peers' personal behavior and learn how to create behavior change. Students are taught behavior change theory and are given behavioral challenges as homework assignments so that they can practice shifting from saying to doing.
