Welcome to the official
Tufts Wind Ensemble web page!
The Tufts Wind Ensemble is a student organization and a course for credit
that plays wind band concert music. The group usually travels abroad during
Tufts' winter break, and has been to Iceland, Barcelona, Ireland,
and most recently Prague, in the Czech Republic. In Prague we performed
two charity concerts, one for a Grammer School for the Blind, and in Dublin and Barcelona,
the group played at various grade schools in the metropolitan areas. We are happy
to perform under the baton of Professor John McCann, and our recent repetoire
includes selections from composers such as Aaron Copland, Charles
Ives, Gustav Holst, and Eric Whitacre.
