Tufts University students
have been active participants in the Timmy Foundation organization since
2003. Tufts students have traveled to the Dominican Republic on medical
relief efforts for the past few years, accompanying teams of medical
professionals focused on providing medical attention and healthier
lifestyles to Haitian refugees living in the Dominican.
The Tufts Timmy Foundation was officially chartered in 2005 as a campus
affiliated organization committed to community service, both locally and
abroad. While the main activities generally associated with the
nationwide foundation are the annual medical relief service trips, we
here at the Tufts Timmy Foundation Club are committed to extending the
call to service to our own communities as well.
Through a variety of local projects, the spirit of the Timmy Foundation
reaches beyond our one week relief trip to the Dominican Republic and
our ears are always open for suggestions or proposals to continue this
mission.
