Meet Anne Moore
Tufts Summer Writing Program Instructor
College Writing is for Everyone
Anne Moore believes that writing for college classes is really no different than writing for everyday communication. Although the structure of a “text” between friends and a term paper may be dissimilar, both involve content and perspective. What links all writing, both formal and informal, is the desire to say something important about yourself, your world, and your point of view.
As an experienced college writing instructor at Tufts and the University of Vermont, Anne enjoys leading young writers on a voyage of discovery. Using everyday texts, as well as the writing of professionals, students in Anne’s classes learn to use language strategically and think about literature critically; useful tools for informed consumers of modern culture.
Anne is in her fourth year of leading the Tufts Summer Writing Program. She is completing her Ph.D. in literature at Tufts. In her academic work, she applies literary critical theory to serial film and fiction.
