After you submit your application, you will be asked to provide additional credentials, which include:

  • A personal essay (three or four pages)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A current academic transcript (which include Fall 2011 grades)
  • Copy of most recent SAT or PSAT scores
  • $25 application fee
  • Parent or guardian permission

Applications are reviewed by the Tufts Summer Study Admissions Committee on a rolling basis; that is, as soon as your application is complete, it will be considered immediately on its own merits. The committee relies partially on grades (and standardized test scores, where applicable) in making admissions decisions, but also read your essay and recommendations carefully in order to learn more about you and to assess the contributions you can make to our programs. Admission decisions are communicated by mail shortly after the admissions decision is made.

Sorry, but Tufts Summer Study cannot relay the committee’s decision over the phone or via email. Delays in notification are often related to incomplete applications.

If you have any questions about the status of your application or about the admissions process, contact Tufts Summer Study or 617-627-2000.

To hold your admission to Tufts Summer Study, you are asked to submit a confirmation form and a tuition deposit of $250 no later than 10 days after the date of your admission.

The application deadline is June 1, 2012 for the Writing, Developing Computer & Interactive Media, Ethics & Global Citizenship, and College for Juniors programs.

The application deadline for the Health Science Honors program is May 15, 2012.
