Enrollment Information

The Center is open to the public, as well as to affiliates of Tufts University. Enrollment in the Center takes into account a number of variables, such as the presence of siblings, Tufts affiliation, and diversity of population--in lifestyle, economic status, learning ability, gender, special needs, ethnic/racial affiliation. The youngest we except children is 2 years, 9 months. We do not have infant care.

In order to foster a more stable community in the Center, all families are enrolled for a full year, from September to August. Only rarely do families leave in the middle of the year, so we don't often have mid-year openings. Almost all of our families start in September, although we can sometimes accommodate a summer start (July).

Tuition
TEDCC strongly values diversity in our population. In order to make that diversity possible, we have a variety of tuition types for families. There are full tuition slots, scholarship slots, and subsidized slots. Subsidized slots are for families with economic need as determined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These families pay a portion of the tuition based on a standardized scale. The scholarship slots are for families who are not eligible for the subsidized slots, but still are not able to handle the financial burden of full tuition. These slots are made possible by the fundraising efforts of the whole community for the Children's Memorial Scholarship Fund.
