Located
on the hilly campus of Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, the
Kappa Charge of Theta Delta Chi has enjoyed a long relationship with
the student population and the university-at-large. Kappa is the Fraternity's
longest Charge in continuous existence, founded in 1856. Distinguished
alumni include three presidents of Tufts, Leonard Carmichel '21 and
Elmer Capen '60 included; as well as Clarence P. (Pop) Houston 1914,
Tufts athletic director and president of the NCAA.
At
our fraternity's annual Conference in the summer of 2004, Kappa Charge
was awarded with the "Most Improved Charge of 2004". While
this is one of the most honorable awards the fraternity could recieve,
Kappa Charge was awarded with the "Ritual Improvement Cup"
award as well. 2005 also saw 123 return from our national convention
with the 2005 Philanthropy Award, and congratulations for Tim Rotolo
for the 2005 Personal Achievement Award
Theta
Delta Chi: Kappa is one of the longest standing fraternities in continuous
existence at Tufts University. Known to the student body as "123",
the Kappa Charge of Theta Delta Chi remains an integral part of campus
life. Contributing to local philanthropy events, supporting Tufts athletic
teams & campus groups, and providing a great place for students
to hang out.
If you are at Tufts, drop by Kappa: you won't regret it.
