ARTICLE IV - MEETINGS
Section I. Educational Sessions
These meetings will be held every week. They will be open to any person
who would like to attend. The purpose of these sessions is to provide a
supportive and inviting environment for discussion. These sessions will
create a sense of TMAV community.
Section II. Organizational Meetings
These meetings will be held during the first week of every month. This
meeting will be open to all active members, but is primarily for board
member discussion.
Section III. Attendance
Attendance will be taken at each meeting and is the responsibility
of the Communications Coordinator.
ARTICLE V - OFFICERS AND ELECTIONS
Section I. Members of the Board
The officers of TMAV will be referred to as members of the TMAV Board.
The positions available on the board are Co-Chairmen (Junior and Senior),
Events Coordinator, Education Coordinator, Outreach Coordinator, Communications
Coordinators, and Treasurer.
Section II. Requirements for Members of the Board
In order to be elected as a member of the board, one must have been
an active member for at least two months. Members of the board must attend
at least fifty percent of educational sessions during the semester of service
to TMAV. Members of the board must uphold the integrity of the organization.
Section III. Election Format
Officers will be first nominated then seconded, whereupon there will
be a secret vote. Only active members will be eligible to vote. TMAV will
vote on officers during the March organizational meeting.
Section IV. Term of Office
Board members will train officers-elect during the month of April.
The new board members will be inducted into office during the May organizational
meeting. The term of office is one full year.
Section V. Loss of Active Membership Status
If a member has broken the attendance agreement or has failed to uphold
his commitment to the membership contract, then he is eligible for impeachment
proceedings. In this case, the board will vote on the status of his membership.
A 2/3 vote of the board is necessary for deciding the vote. A 2/3 vote
of the board and two months of active member attendance are sufficient
for readmitting a member who previously had lost status.
