Our Wonderful SWE Board's Words About Themselves

My name is Tracy Van Tassel, and I'm the President of SWE.  I'm a senior chemical and biomedical engineer.  My job is to delegate and make sure that everything about SWE runs smoothly, with the help of everyone on the SWE board.  I enjoy light up jewelry, the comic strip Get Fuzzy, and anything involving cheese.  If you have any questions about chemical engineering or SWE, feel free to contact me!!

I'm Tory Clark , the vice-president of SWE this year. I'm a senior mechanical engineer and I'm especially interested in product design, renewable energies, and sustainable engineering. If you have any questions about mechanical engineering classes I would love to recommend professors (because it makes all the difference) and tell you which classes I loved. In my spare time I love reading, singing and playing soccer!

My name is Rachel Yu and I'm a junior mechanical engineer.  My position on the SWE board is Secretary so I take minutes at all of the meetings and help keep everyone in the group informed about the SWE events.  I am also actively involved with Engineers Without Borders and STOMP.  I enjoy playing soccer, watching movies, going to concerts, and playing with LEGOs.

Hi, my name is Dana Svendsen and I am a junior majoring in chemical engineering. I am on the varsity field hockey team at Tufts and also really involved with the FIT pre-orientation. I love being active and eating anything with chocolate! My position on the SWE board is the treasurer. I am basically in charge of maintaining our budget and giving out money. My name is Meghan McCooey and I am a sophomore majoring in engineering psychology and biomedical engineering. I am the operations coordinator for SWE, so I reserve rooms for SWE events and post the events on Tuftslife.com. I enjoy playing tennis, acting, and eating ice cream!

My name is Angela Griffin, and I am this year’s webmaster and junior representative. I am a junior Chemical and Biological Engineering major. My job on the SWE board is to update the website, email members, and run the Facebook group. I also help out the other board members with their tasks and help keep the junior women engineers up to date on what SWE is doing. I volunteer with SWE and with other organizations on campus.
