Great question! Enroll in Summer courses through SIS, just like you do during the Fall and Spring Semesters. So easy.
Registration begins on March 6th and ends on 6:00pm on the day before the course session begins. Walk-in registration is available on Tuesday, May 23 in Dowling Hall. Late registration begins on the first day of each session (May 24 and July 5) in Dowling Hall and incurs a fee.
When you logon to SIS to make summer course selections, you must click on "Summer Activation" under the "Enroll" tab before proceeding with registration.
After registration, summer tuition and fee charges will be added to your account. You can view these charges and make a payment using a Visa or MasterCard in SIS. Payment to clear your summer balance (and any prior charges) is expected immediately. Any account not cleared by the first day of the summer term is subject to additional administrative action.
Communication about your enrollment, balance, etc., will be sent to your Tufts email address. Information will not be sent directly to a third-party, such as a parent or external funding source. It is your responsibility to read your Tufts email and take immediate action when prompted.

A recent Bundesgymnasium graduate, Matthias decided to leave his home in Austria for six weeks and spend part of his summer studying international relations and economics at Tufts. He thought the summer before completing his zivildienst (year of public service) was the perfect time to try something new. Matthias saw the advantages of international study at a great American university before entering his "gap" year, and he knew that Tufts University had the summer courses he needed and could transfer to his home university, when the time comes.
