With SHORT COURSES and WORKSHOPS running throughout the Summer!
Rising High School Juniors and Seniors wishing to attend Tufts’ Pre-College Program (either Pre-College Courses or Undergraduate Courses for Seniors), must apply through the link below, indicating they are applying for the “Pre-College Program”.
Applications for a Tufts Pre-College Program or course are reviewed by an admissions committee. Admissibility is based on the quality of credentials submitted by the applicant. Tufts University reserves the right to admit as requested, to deny admission, or offer provisional admission. The program is will not provide feedback to applicants when admission is denied.
Decisions are made on a rolling basis and students typically hear within a few days. Terms of enrollment are stipulated in a Letter of Admission, which is sent to the student via the U.S. Postal Service. Students are asked to confirm admission within two weeks by submitting a non-refundable confirmation fee payment. Subsequent requests to change the terms of enrollment may be considered if made before the Pre-College Program begins.

A recent Bundesgymnasium graduate, Matthias decided to leave his home in Austria for six weeks and spend part of his summer studying international relations and economics at Tufts. He thought the summer before completing his zivildienst (year of public service) was the perfect time to try something new. Matthias saw the advantages of international study at a great American university before entering his "gap" year, and he knew that Tufts University had the summer courses he needed and could transfer to his home university, when the time comes.
