Tufts Summer Session credits can be put to work right away in your degree program at Tufts. Pace yourself on the road to commencement by selecting courses that are foundation, distribution, or concentration options. With over 175 Summer Session courses offered during the day and evening it's easy to balance class with work, an internship, or whatever else you have going on this summer.
Tufts Summer Session offers the same great instruction you expect at Tufts. Instructors are familiar to you, and since classes tend to be small, you'll have a more comprehensive and meaningful learning experience.
We know you are busy this summer. Internships, jobs, fun in the sun. We can work with your busy schedule. With many courses meeting in the evening, not to mention online courses, you have many options to have your summer and Tufts, too.
No worries! Take Tufts home with you, or to work, or around the world. With summer online courses, you have more options to make progress in your program while you are away from campus. With foreign language, mathematics, social science, and natural science options, you can use summer online courses to meet program requirements.About Online Courses
Between March 6 and 6:00 p.m. on the day before the summer session begins, logon to SIS and register. Walk-in registration is available on Tuesday, May 23 in Dowling Hall. Late registration begins on the first day of each session (May 24 and July 5) in Dowling Hall.
When you logon to SIS to make summer course selections, you must click on "Summer Activation" under the "Enroll" tab before proceeding with registration.
After registration, summer tuition and fee charges will be added to your account. You can view these charges and make a payment using a Visa or MasterCard in SIS. Payment to clear your summer balance (and any prior charges) is expected immediately. Any account not cleared by the first day of the summer term is subject to additional administrative action. Click here to learn more about Tufts University summer enrollment and payment policies.
If you need assistance with registration, or the application of credits to cover your tuition charges, contact Tufts Student Services at 617-627-2000 or email@example.com.
If you are new to Tufts, and starting your program in the summer, you will logon to the Tufts Student Information System with a Tufts Username and password that you set up at the time of your admission. With those confirmed credentials, follow directions above.
SIS will be available for enrollment changes (drop, add, withdrawal, etc.) until 6:00 p.m. on the day before the summer session begins. After this deadline, any changes to your summer enrollment must be submitted to Tufts Student Services in Dowling Hall using this summer form.
Communication about your enrollment, balance, etc., will be sent to your Tufts email address. Information will not be sent directly to a third-party, such as a parent or external funding source. It is your responsibility to read your Tufts email and take immediate action when prompted.
A recent Bundesgymnasium graduate, Matthias decided to leave his home in Austria for six weeks and spend part of his summer studying international relations and economics at Tufts. He thought the summer before completing his zivildienst (year of public service) was the perfect time to try something new. Matthias saw the advantages of international study at a great American university before entering his "gap" year, and he knew that Tufts University had the summer courses he needed and could transfer to his home university, when the time comes.
