Registration for International Students
Step 1: Apply for an I-20 from Tufts
To qualify for a F-1 or J-1 student visa, you must request an I-20 form from Tufts University. Using the International Student Information Form, apply for the I-20 and document your financial ability to pay tuition and living expenses while studying at Tufts this summer.
Follow directions on this form carefully and submit information by no later than the date published in the International Student Calendar.
Step 2: Apply for logon credentials to register online
You must enroll yourself in a summer course or courses using the Tufts online registration webpage. To access this site, you will need to apply for logon credentials. Once requested, Tufts will evaluate your application and, if approved, send you via email a student ID number, which will be your logon ID, as well.

Step 3: Register for courses
With your Tufts ID number, you can logon to the Tufts registration website and submit your course selections. Follow ID and PIN instructions. If you need help, contact Tufts Student Servcies at 617-627-2000 or studentservices@tufts.edu.
Step 4: Pay your tuition and fee charges
Payment for your summer tuition, residence hall, and other charges are due upon enrollment. You will receive notice of your charges via email. Additionally, you will be invited to join Tufts eBill, the university's online invoicing system. Tufts will send you weekly email reminders about your tuition and fee balance until you complete payment. If you do not pay your tuition by the first day of the term, you may be unenrolled.
Step 5: Check in at the Tufts International Center
An interview with a Tufts International Student Advisor is required by no later than the date published in the International Student Calendar. You will be emailed instructions on how to meet the designated officer. Failure to complete this step will result in immediate withdrawal from your course(s). This will invalidate your visa, putting your stay in the U.S. at risk.
