Academics
Tufts University prides itself on its excellence in academic scholarship and research. Academic student organizations offer students a means to educate themselves outside the classroom through enriching faculty-student discussions, exposure to engaging and informative events, and well as career information and networking opportunities. The American Medical Student Organization, a national student academic organization, founded in 1950, promotes an understanding of the healthcare system, supports students applying to medical school, and seeks to improve the community through local projects and active citizenship.

- Alpha Omicron Pi
- American Chemical Society Tufts ACS is a student-run organization dedicated to bringing Tufts students interested in chemistry together outside the classroom.
- American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) The American Society of Civil Engineers was founded in 1852 to represent members of the civil engineering profession worldwide.
- American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) ASME hopes to assist mechanical engineering students in their academic and professional pursuits and, most importantly, organize some good times for all engineering students.
- Anthropology Collective The Anthropology Collective seeks to present anthropological research and fieldwork experiences of undergraduates, faculty and alumni, act as a resource for internship/job opportunities, initiate network building with alumni, and host speakers to address current issues in Anthropology.
- Engineers Without Borders Engineers Without Borders is a non-profit humanitarian organization established to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life.
- Hemispheres Established in 1976, Hemispheres is one of the few undergraduate journals dedicated to international relations in the United States
- History Society The History Society is group of undergraduates, both majors and non-majors, interested in the study of history and promoting its use on campus.
- Human Factors & Ergonomics Society Human Factors & Ergonomics Society seeks to promote the discovery and exchange of knowledge concerning the characteristics of human beings that are applicable to the design of systems and devices of all kinds.
- Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) IEEE seeks to provide resources and support to undergraduates through establishing strong ties with the world of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
- Math Club The Math Club is a student organization that involves students in mathematics beyond the classroom.
- Public Health at Tufts (PHAT) PHAT provides exposure to the world of public health, including campus events, graduate schools, public health concerns, etc.
- Society of Women Engineers The Society of Women Engineers stimulates women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, and expands the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life.
- Tufts Chinese Students and Scholars Association
- TuftScope TuftScope brings together various students, academics, policymakers, and industry representatives to talk about pertinent healthcare and biosocial debates in today's world.
- Tufts Economics Society The Tufts Economics Society serves students by providing career information and networking opportunities, promoting student-faculty interaction outside of the classroom setting, sponsoring talks by distinguished individuals in business and economics, and representing student opinion on departmental policies.
