Housing Choices
Residence Halls:
Wilson House
Location - Wilson House is located across from Fletcher Field, on the
corner of Curtis street and Chetwynd Road. It is close to both uphill and
downhill facilities. Wilson House is a staffed residence hall by one Resident
Assistant.
Rooms - The average double room is 12' x 15'. There are eleven
doubles. The average single room is 9' x 14'. There are 18 singles. The average
triple room is 16' x 18' and there are five triples. Each room is furnished
with fully moveable furniture which consists of an extra long twin bed, desk,
and desk chair for each occupant. The ground floor is all male. The beds are
multi-positioned beds that have eleven height adjustments up to 32 inches with
30 inches of space underneath when raised to maximum height. The use of solid
cinder blocks or any other material, to raise the multi-position beds is
prohibited in Wilson. The east wing of the house is all female and the west wing
is all male.
Bathrooms - There is one male bathroom on the ground floor. Each
other floor has both a male and female bathroom with two stalls, two showers and
two sinks. The third floor female bathroom is an exception with one shower and
one stall.
Common Areas - There is one lounge on the first floor with an indoor
bike rack, ping pong table and couches. There is an additional lounge in the
basement with a couch, table, chairs and a television. Attached to the lounge
is a kitchen with a microwave, oven, refrigerator and counter space.
Facilities - In the basement there are two washers and two dryers.
The mailboxes and an additional small bathroom with just a sink and toilet are
also located in the basement.
