Housing Choices
Residence Halls:
Hillside Apartments
Location - Hillsides Apartments are located in
between Dowling Hall and Hill Hall, uphill. There is a
parking lot behind Hillsides and is close to Carmichael
Dining Hall, popular off-campus eateries on Boston
Avenue, Dowling Hall, Cousens Gymnasium, and the
Academic Quadrangle.
Rooms - Hillsides is divided into suites, that
may or may not be picked as a whole apartment. Please
refer to the floor plans for the layout of the suite and
the size of the rooms. Each room is furnished with
moveable furniture and each window has a shade or
blinds. The furniture consists of an extra long twin
bed, a desk, and a desk chair. The beds are
multi-positioned beds that have eleven height
adjustments up to 32 inches with 30 inches of space
underneath when raised to maximum height. The use of
solid cinder blocks or any other material, to raise the
multi-position beds are prohibited in Hillside's
apartments and suites.
Six person apartments in the Hillside complex have
standard furniture of a sofa, loveseat and chair along
with a coffee table and corner table. A dining table
with four chairs is also provided. All University common
area furniture must remain in the common area and not be
taken into student bedrooms.
Bathrooms - Please consult the floor plans of the
suite you desire to see the bathroom layout.
Common Areas - Each apartment and suite has a
common living room with a dining table, couch and chairs
and a kitchen with pantries, counter space, stove, and
refrigerator.
Facilities - There are three washers and three
dryers below the 170's.
