Housing Choices
Residence Halls:
Haskell Hall
Location - Haskell Hall is located downhill,
opposite Tilton Hall. It is next to the Dewick-MacPhie
Dining Hall, and also near Hodgdon Take-Out. Haskell
Hall is a staffed residence hall, with one Resident
Proctor and four Resident Assistants.
Rooms - There are 30 doubles and the average
double room is 12' x 16'. The average single room is 8'
x 10'. There are 30 singles. Rooms in Haskell are
arranged into suites. A suite consists of four double
rooms, two single rooms, a common room, and a bathroom.
Each room is furnished with moveable furniture and one
window with a shade. The furniture set consists of an
extra long twin bed, a desk, and a desk chair. The beds
are multi-positioned beds that have eleven height
adjustments up to 32 inches with 30 inches of space
underneath when raised to maximum height. The use of
solid cinder blocks or any other material, to raise the
multi-position beds is prohibited in Haskell. The floors
are linoleum tiled, and the walls are finished in brick.
Haskell Hall is coed by suite.
Bathrooms - One single-sex bathroom is located in
each suite and it is shared by residents of that suite.
Each bathroom has two showers, two toilet stalls, two
sinks, and storage space for toiletries.
Common Areas - A main lounge is located on the
first floor of Haskell. It is furnished with couches,
tables, chairs, and a television. In addition, a smaller
common room is located across the hall from this lounge.
Small lounges are located in each suite, and are
furnished with a couch, table, and chairs. All lounges
and hallways in Haskell are carpeted.
Facilities - Haskell Hall has one common kitchen
on the first floor. It is equipped with a stove, oven,
refrigerator, and sink. Washing machines, clothes
dryers, and vending machines are also located on the
first floor. The building has an indoor bicycle storage
rack.
