Housing Choices
Residence Halls:
Bush Hall
Location - Bush Hall is located downhill,
directly next to the Dewick-MacPhie Dining Hall. It is
also near Hodgdon Take-Out, the Campus Center and the
Bookstore. Bush Hall is a staffed residence hall, with
one Resident Proctor and three Resident Assistants.
Rooms - The average double room is 12' x 16'.
There are 51 doubles. The average single room is 9.5' x
11'. There are three singles. Each room is furnished
with moveable furniture and one window with a shade. The
furniture set consists of an extra long twin bed, a
desk, and a desk chair. The beds are all multi-position
beds, that have eleven height adjustments up to 32
inches with 30 inches of space underneath when raised to
maximum height. The use of solid cinder blocks, or any
other material, to raise the multi-positioned beds is
prohibited in Bush. The floors are linoleum tiled.
Bathrooms - Eight small, single-sex bathrooms are
located on each floor. Each bathroom, contains a shower,
separate toilet stall, sink and mirror. Each bathroom is
shared by four to six students.
Common Areas - A large main lounge is located on
the first floor. It is furnished with tables, chairs,
couches, and a television. A separate study room with
tables and chairs is also on the first floor. Smaller
lounges are located on each floor, and are furnished
with a couch, table, and chairs. The lounges and common
areas are carpeted.
Facilities - Bush has one common kitchen on the
first floor. It is equipped with a stove, oven,
refrigerator, and sink. Washing machines, clothes
dryers, vending machines, and a bicycle storage room are
located on the ground floor.
