Dr. Shriver is interested in social cognition and stereotyping. His research related to that studies social cognitive models of the cross-race face recognition deficit and responses to racial bias feedback on the Implicit Association Test (IAT). Teaching interests are social psychology, implicit attitudes, and prejudice. Other courses taught include developmental psychology, research methods, and general psychology.
